Professor of Environmental Microbiology

The Faculty of Science is seeking to appoint a Professor (link) as part of a major investment to foster the growth of Strategic Priority areas of research excellence. UNSW is the nation's leading University in environmental microbiology research, with major programs in Antarctic, marine and freshwater microbiology and ecology, with particular strengths in microbial genomics and proteomics.

The EMI is seeking a Professorial candidate with experience in genomics of environmental micro-organisms. You should have expertise in bioinformatics and microbial genomics, with an interest in structuring activities that integrate local and overseas computational resources. You will bring a strong program of research, and will collaborate closely with existing EMI programs.

This is a full time position. The salary for Professor is A$130,972 per year plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading. Professors may undertake a limited amount of consultative work.
